Zea mays (80-90 days) Bright white kernels with contrasting purple husks and dark green leaves will delight your imagination and pique your interest! It is the tender-sweet flavor that explodes across your taste buds that will keep you coming back for more.  An original cross by Alan Kapular, we began selection work on this variety in 2007.  The purple color is high in cancer fighting phyto-nutrients and is what the breeder was working for... to all our benefit! Wonderful for fresh eating or stocking your freezer for off-season goodness!  A great multi-purpose variety, maturing for use in stews, chowders, and adding to fresh cornbread. Can be dried and ground for cornbread in the off-season. Versatile as well as delicious!
