CERTIFIED ORGANIC, HEIRLOOM SEED, 1 packet (25 seeds)

Fragaria x ananassa (USDA zones 3-8) This everbearing heirloom variety is a cross between a wild strawberry from the Rockies and domestic varieties. A 1956 introduction this heirloom was developed by the University of Nebraska in partnership with the USDA. Amazingly aromatic wild strawberry flavor with large, plump, firm red berries and good color through-out. Excellent fresh, frozen, and as preserves. The plants are drought and disease resistant, vigorous, productive, and winter hardy. They're everbearing strawberry plants and here in ND they start producing in early June and bear heavy until the high heat hits in mid-July. In more moderate climates they'll bear throughout the summer, repeatedly producing fruit across most of the season.

Growing Notes

Transplant out late spring. Full sun to partial shade. Plant spacing: 12-18". Set plant roots straight down keeping the middle of the crown at soil level.
