Growing Notes

Start indoors: Sow seeds in flats 8-10 weeks before the last frost. Surface sow seeds and tamp them into the soil mix. Do not cover seeds, as they need light to germinate. Keep moist ‘til germination. Days to Germ: 7-14 days at 65-70°F. Transplant when seedlings have 4 true leaves. Transplant outdoors in full sun/partial shade when the danger of frost has passed. Plant spacing: 12" between in rows 18" apart. For bushy plants, pinch back new growth. Drought tolerant once established. Harvest full stems as plants start to flower, cutting 2” above base of plant. Thrives in poor soils.
