Spinacia oleracea (55 days) Sweet, tender, cold tolerant, and bolt resistant with savoyed, dark green leaves and upright stems. This new variety was named after the Abundant Life Farm where this breeding project started in 2002. It was bred by organic farmers and Organic Seed Alliance (OSA) and released under the Open Source Seed Initiative. 10% of sales of this variety will be donated to support OSA's breeding programs.

Growing Notes

Direct seed as soon as the soil can be worked in spring, and again in the late summer-early fall. Grows best in cooler temperatures <70°F; as a spring or fall crop. Seeds germinate in 5-10 days when soil temperatures are between 32-60°F. Plant 1/2” deep, 1-2” apart, with at least 18” between rows.
