Cucumis sativus (50-60 days) A heirloom cucumber variety known for its prolific production with a high percentage of sets producing two cucumbers. Introduced in 1924 by Joseph Harris Company claiming, “For every pickle that is cut off, two or three more are produced.” For salads, pickling, or snacking; you’ll enjoy their tender juiciness, crisp skin and mild melon-like flavor. Exceptional quality; add them to your garden for a rewarding and productive crop. Lime-green to medium green fruits with black spines and blossom-end highlights. Heat tolerant and resistant to common cucumber
diseases, making it low-maintenance and easy to grow. A very early pickling type, they’re best picked when 4-5” long by 2" diameter. The more it’s picked, the more it will produce!

Growing Notes

Direct-seed 1/2" deep, 9-12” apart in rows 3-4' between in full sun after danger of frost is past, or start indoors 4-6 weeks before the last frost; transplant when the first true leaf appears. Performs well in raised beds, garden beds, trellised, caged, or left to sprawl.
