NEW! Flower: Horminum Sage
CERTIFIED ORGANIC, HEIRLOOM SEED, 1 packet (100 seeds)
Salvia viridis (60-70 days) Spikes of colorful bracts in hues of pink, lavender, and purple with dark showy veins. Makes a dramatic presentation in large groupings. Horminum Sage is a hardy heirloom cultivated in American gardens as early as the mid-1700s. Excellent, long-lasting blooms both as a cut or dried flower. 26-28” tall and about 12” wide.
Sow indoors 6-8 weeks before last frost. Sow in starter trays, pressing the seed into the soil but do not cover. Seeds need light to germinate. Transplant to 2-3” cell trays or 3" pots once they have several true leaves; harden off and transplant after last frost. Or sow Salvia flower seeds outdoors in spring after last frost. Germination 10-30 days, depending on temperature; faster germination at 75–78°F.
