Growing Notes Sow in full sun in early spring for first crop and late summer for fall crop. Sow thinly in rows 12" apart, cover with 1/4" fine soil, firm lightly and keep evenly moist. For transplants and to grow as head lettuce, start indoors 6 weeks before transplant. Emergence: 6-10 days. Resistant to lettuce mosaic virus (LMV).
